On April 23, GBM Gleisbaumechanik Brandenburg/H. GmbH (GBM) hosted Career Day, an event organized by the State of Brandenburg focused entirely on vocational training. Twenty-four students had the opportunity to learn about training opportunities and internships at GBM. GBM trains students annually in the field of mechatronics (m/f/d).
The day began with an informative presentation that gave the students an overview of the duties of a mechatronics technician and the requirements of this exciting profession. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of technical understanding, manual dexterity, and teamwork.
After the introduction, the students had the opportunity to experience the practical side of the work firsthand during a tour of the production halls and gain exciting insights into the highly complex rail vehicles. During the tour, participants were able to speak directly with our GBM team and former trainees to ask their questions.
We look forward to perhaps welcoming some of these talented young people to our company soon as trainees or interns.
