GBM Gleisbaumechanik Brandenburg/H. GmbH is sending a strong growth signal by acquiring a new property with two factory buildings at the Kirchmöser rail hub. With this move, the company is significantly expanding its operational space and laying the groundwork for further expansion of its service and storage capacities.

Investment in the location and expansion of service capabilities

The acquisition of a site with an area of approximately 15,000 m² demonstrates a clear commitment to the location in Brandenburg an der Havel and is a strategic step toward expanding service and maintenance capacities for rail vehicles. The property directly borders GBM’s factory grounds. The company specializes in the modernization, manufacturing, maintenance, and servicing of rail vehicles.

The newly acquired property contains several buildings, including two large production halls with a combined area of over 3,600 m². This infrastructure provides ideal conditions for GBM’s continued growth and enables the rail vehicle manufacturer to further streamline its processes and reduce processing times.

“This expansion is an important step for GBM Gleisbaumechanik,” said Dr. Sven Eric Teupke, Managing Director of GBM. “The investment not only ensures our competitiveness but also underscores our company’s potential for further growth. It creates the necessary space for us to expand our services and continue to meet our customers’ demands in the best possible way.”

Creation of new jobs

This expansion of capacity is accompanied by a growing need for skilled employees. GBM is creating additional jobs at its Kirchmöser site and expanding its team. This growth not only strengthens the company but also the local economy and the Kirchmöser railway hub as a whole. Currently, approximately 220 employees work for GBM Gleisbaumechanik.
